About Us
HII is a trusted group of organisations bringing together industry, government, and academia to create an investible, globally competitive hydrogen technology and services sector, here in the UK.
Our Vision

Our Mission
Our aim is to help build robust and resilient hydrogen technology supply chains.
By accelerating the development of critical technologies and supply chains for the fast-growing hydrogen economy, we will support UK industry to anchor high-value jobs, boost resilience and drive decarbonisation.
Who We Are
We are supporting UK companies in bringing innovative products and services to market that will be an integral part of the fast-growing global hydrogen economy.
Working together, we can future-proof the UK’s domestic hydrogen supply chains by helping improve export prospects and upskilling the workforce, allowing UK businesses to compete in the global hydrogen economy.
Our partners are world-leading technology centres, research organisations and Catapults, working alongside industry, government and academia.

Why HII
The UK Hydrogen Strategy estimates that, by 2030, it could unlock over 12,000 jobs and up to £11 billion of investment. We believe these figures are only scratching the surface of the long-term potential. Analysis by the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative suggests that the global market for hydrogen technologies will be in the order of $1trn per annum by 2050 representing around ten percent of the total value of the global hydrogen economy.
Our role is to support British organisations who are involved in hydrogen production, supply, distribution and usage.
